Mega R & B superstar Whitney Houston died suddenly today in a California Beverly Hills Hotel. Whitney was only 48 years old. Whitney is known in the music industry as one of the greatest singer ever born. The cause of Whitney’s untimely death is still unknown but speculation is that she may have been a victim of her well publicised substance abuse. Whatever the cause of death Whitney will be remembered as not only one of the most gifted singer but also a gifted actress. Whitney starred in extremely popular movies such as the Bodyguard, Preacher’s Wife etc. Whitney will be sadly missed by many who idolised, admired and revelled her. RIP Whitney.
International DJ Elephant Man was taken into custody by Jamaican Police for allegedly raping a 31 year old woman. Elephant Man will attend court tomorrow but information is sketchy. We will bring you more on this story as soon as more is revealed.
King Stitt, real name Winston Spark, who most people believe is the originator of the Dance Hall DJ died today at his home in Kingston, Jamaica. King Stitt used to be a regular DJ on the sound system of his days, especially Sir Coxsone Dodd Sound System. King Stitt was also known for his unusual looks and he was the first to describe himself in many of his songs as “The ugly one.’ King Stitt was born on September 17, 1939, He was 72 when he died. He will always be remembered as the man who invented DJ music. Many will give different accounts but it is going to be difficult to deprived him of this legacy. RIP King Stitt.
Words have been going around that the World Boss, Vybz Kartel assets have been seized as a result of his arrest on murder and other charges. However, a Jamaican Assistant Commisioner of Police denies the report. Kartel is one of Jamaica’s most successful DJ having several top hits on the market. A sezure if his assets wold be a big blow to him
According to Jamaica Star report incarcerated DJ Vybz Kartl is in the lead for the title of Deejay of the Year. Kartel seems to have wrapped that up even before he was locked up on murder charges several weeks ago. It is said that a whopping 7 out of 10 songs on the chart are those of the ‘world Boss’ as Kartel refers to himself.
Port Empire ‘Star Girl’ Vanessa ‘Gaza Slim’ Saddler is charged with conspiracy to pervert the court of justice in an apparent effort to help out her boss Portmore Empire king Vybz Kartel. According to news report Kartel is alleged to be involved in the murder of one Clive Lizard Williams. Clive Williams body has never been found but Gaza slim allegedly reported to police that Williams robbed her 5 days after the alleged murder. According to police this was a conspiracy between Kartel and Gaza Slim to cover up the would be murder.
The Jamaica Gleaner is reporting that Superstar DJ is being offered bail by Jamaica Supreme Court judge, Justice Bertram Morrison. The bail for J$3m was offered on one of the DJ murder charges. Kartel will still have to apply for bail on one or more other charges.
Garrison recording artiste Blak Ryno was robbed over the weekend after the motor vehicle he was driving was broken into and several items stolen.

Jamaican born Rapper Heavy D whose real name is Dwight Meyers has died from medically related cause. Heavy D left Jamaica as a child and has become one of the hottest 90′s rapper. He was only 44. Heavy D and his group The Boyz has hits such as Now That We Found love, Mr. Big Stuff among many others. Heavy D just recently performed at the 2011 BET award. RIP Big guy. Read More on Heavy D.
